Frequently Asked Questions
All Verapep products are intended strictly for laboratory and research use only. Select a category below to find answers to common questions.
Product Information
Research Use Only / Not for Human Consumption
All products sold by Verapep are designated strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and educational purposes only. They are not intended for human or animal consumption, therapeutic use, or any form of self-administration.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are a qualified researcher or an entity conducting legitimate scientific research and that all materials will be handled in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Verapep does not provide dosing guidance, application protocols, or any information that could imply suitability for human use. Any such inquiries will not be addressed.
Product Testing
Every batch undergoes rigorous third-party testing to verify identity, purity, and composition. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are available upon request and will be published on our COA page as they become available.
Testing methodologies include HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and Mass Spectrometry to confirm a minimum purity threshold of ≥99% for all peptide products.
Product Appearance Variations
Minor visual differences between batches, including variations in powder volume, texture, or coloration, are normal and do not indicate a defect or compromise in quality. These variations are inherent to the manufacturing process of research-grade compounds and have no bearing on purity or efficacy in a research setting.
Peptide Form
All peptides are shipped in lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder form sealed within sterile glass vials. Lyophilization ensures maximum stability and shelf life during storage and transit. Reconstitution with an appropriate solvent (e.g., bacteriostatic water) is required prior to laboratory use.
Peptide Top Colors
Vial cap colors may vary between batches and do not correspond to a specific product or formulation. Cap color is determined by manufacturing supply availability and carries no significance regarding the contents, purity, or identity of the product inside.
Peptide Powder Appearance
Lyophilized peptide powder may appear as a fine, loose powder or as a compact, solid pellet (commonly referred to as a "puck"). The texture can range from fluffy and white to slightly off-white or translucent. All of these presentations are normal and reflect standard lyophilization outcomes. Variations do not affect the compound's analytical performance.
Storage Instructions
Unreconstituted (lyophilized): Store in a cool, dry, dark environment. Refrigeration (2–8 °C) is recommended. For extended storage, freezing at −20 °C is ideal.
Reconstituted: Refrigerate immediately at 2–8 °C and use within the timeframe appropriate for the specific compound. Do not refreeze reconstituted solutions unless validated for the specific peptide.
Always protect vials from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
Solution Flakes, Precipitation, and Separation
After reconstitution, certain peptides may exhibit visible particles, cloudiness, or mild precipitation. This can result from temperature fluctuation, improper solvent selection, or pH incompatibility. Gently swirling (not shaking) the vial and allowing it to reach room temperature may resolve minor precipitation.
If the solution remains visibly cloudy or contains large particulate matter after gentle agitation, do not use it in sensitive assays. Contact support@verapep.com with your order number and a photograph for further assistance.
Extreme Temperature Exposure
Lyophilized peptides are generally stable during short-duration temperature excursions encountered in standard shipping. However, prolonged exposure to temperatures exceeding 40 °C or repeated freeze-thaw cycles may degrade the compound.
If you believe a product has been compromised due to extreme temperature exposure during transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence and your order details.
Accidental Exposure or Ingestion
In the event of accidental skin contact, rinse the affected area thoroughly with water. In the event of accidental ingestion or eye contact, seek immediate medical attention and contact your local poison control center.
Verapep products are research chemicals and should be handled exclusively in controlled laboratory environments with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Verapep assumes no liability for mishandling of materials.
Shipping & Processing
Shipping Hours
Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. No shipments are dispatched on weekends. Orders placed after the daily cutoff or on weekends will be queued for the next available business day.
Processing and Shipping Times
Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Once shipped, domestic deliveries typically arrive within 3–7 business days depending on your location and the carrier service selected at checkout.
During periods of high demand, promotional events, or supply chain disruptions, processing times may be extended. You will be notified via email if any significant delay affects your order.
Order Tracking
A tracking number will be sent to your email once your order has been dispatched. Please allow 24–48 hours after receiving the tracking number for carrier systems to update with scan events.
If you have not received a tracking number within 5 business days of placing your order, please contact support@verapep.com with your order number.
Shipping Regions
Verapep currently ships within the United States only. We do not ship internationally at this time. Orders with international shipping addresses will be cancelled and refunded.
We are actively evaluating expansion to additional regions. Check back for updates on international availability.
Label Printed, No Update
If your tracking shows "Label Created" or "Pre-Shipment" with no subsequent updates for more than 3 business days, this typically indicates the package is awaiting its initial carrier scan. In most cases, parcels are in transit and will update once scanned at the next facility.
If the status remains unchanged for more than 5 business days, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier on your behalf.
Order Modifications and Cancellations
Order modifications or cancellations may be accommodated if requested before the order has been shipped. Once a shipping label has been created or the package has been handed to the carrier, changes cannot be made.
To request a modification or cancellation, email support@verapep.com with your order number as soon as possible. Requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed.
Late or Undelivered Orders
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, please verify the shipping address on your confirmation email and check with household members or building management for the package.
If the tracking indicates delivery but you have not received the package, please contact us within 48 hours of the marked delivery date. We will initiate an investigation with the carrier. Verapep is not liable for delays caused by carrier errors, weather, or force majeure events.
Missing, Damaged, or Wrong Items
If your order arrives with missing items, visible damage, or incorrect products, please contact support@verapep.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include the following:
- Order number
- Clear photographs of the received items and packaging
- Description of the issue
We will review your claim and work to resolve it as quickly as possible, which may include a replacement shipment at our discretion.
Stolen, Lost, or Incorrect Address
Verapep is not responsible for packages that are stolen after confirmed delivery, lost due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer, or rerouted by the carrier at the customer's request.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the shipping address is accurate and that the delivery location is secure. We strongly recommend selecting a shipping address where someone is available to receive the package or using a secure delivery option.
